Interview with Stephen Eichhorn
シカゴ在住のアーティスト"Stephen Eichhorn"。偶然ネットサーフィンしているときに彼の作品に目が留まった。あまりに美しい植物のシェイプ。自然本来の有り様を見せつけられるような有機物の美しさが一つのカンバスに集積されているようだった。
Stephenという人物をひも解いていくと、まだ若き芸大に通う学生であり、インタビューを通じて見えてきたのは彼の若さとは真逆にある作品に対する紳士な姿勢、向き合う気持ちであった。
この作品が彼の手作業によるコラージュだと気付いたとき、驚く人は多いのではないだろうか。
この作品の透明度、美しさは、彼のアートに対する姿勢そのもののようである。
